Gospel singing master classes
Pedagogical project
The Gospel workshops led by Emmanuel Pi Djob place the emphasis on the importance of fully living one’s singing and the messages, no matter how unconventional, that it carries. It is less about showing off one’s singing ability than about putting one’s emotions and personal convictions into vocal expression.

Singers must be aware of what they are saying, of the sound vibrations they are emitting, aware that they are responsible for what they are transmitting. By avoiding indulging in religious considerations in the denominational sense of the term, they can meet themselves, meet the other, with only one obligation: TO BE… to try, in any case.
Vocal warm-up, body awareness, open-mindedness, working on verticality (being connected without closing off) and horizontality (daring to give of oneself without losing oneself), learning songs (traditional spirituals and gospel, original compositions) and, depending on the time available, a public performance of the resulting work.
To support and facilitate the learning of the songs, Emmanuel Pi Djob can be assisted by two (bass-drums) instrumentalists or more, in addition to his digital piano or guitar accompaniment. Depending on the case, he also collaborates with maestro Augustin Dikongué, for vocal technique follow-up.
